Mac Download

LanternChess6.27.4.dmg updated October 22, 2023, is our signed installer on Mac. Just run and drag Lantern to the Applications folder. 95 Meg

The Lantern iOS Mac Catalyst version optimized for Mac is available as a download now on lanternmaccatalyst.html. Can connect once, logout and continue to be authenticated to watch video, so app can be used as a stand alone ICC videos player. Top 50 videos show on click of button on board.

Windows Download

Windows 10/11 users can get Lantern at its page in the Microsoft Store or go to lanternonwindows.html for an installer 108 Meg

Linux Download

For Linux lantern627.jar . Runs with Java 8 or later. Download is one file and GPL. Make jar executable and launch jar with java. 31 Meg

To sign up for an ICC account register here for a 30 day trial that includes chess videos to select on Events List and access to ICC's full chess video library with Actions in Lantern - Open Video Page.

No chessclub.com account and want to try, choose Guest In the Connection Dialog and play unrated with no signup. Guests can examine the PGN of their past games with Stockfish and an Opening Explorer.
