In examine mode, Lantern can display circles and arrows. Users can also draw circles and arrows with the mouse, instead of typing the circle and arrow commands.
While examining a chess game, a right-click on a square draws a circle. To draw an arrow, the user can hold down the right mouse button on the origin square and then release on the destination square. A change in the examined game's state, such as playing a move or going backward, will clear the circles and arrows from the board.
While playing, right-clicking still cancels premoves and, for a Click Click move, returns a grabbed piece to its original location.
